Madson Wines got to participate in The Natural Coast Wine Fest 2023. It was a LOVELY event, Cole and Abbey enjoyed meeting other fabulous winemakers and are looking forward to attending this coming Spring. The Natural Coast event showcases and celebrates the wineries and winegrowers promoting environmentally beneficial viticulture, low impact winemaking, and socially conscientious business practices throughout California’s Central Coast. These producers make wine in a natural way, honoring the earth and forging a better path forward in the wine industry. Better vineyards, better wines, better Earth. For the first time ever, Frédéric Ménager, arguably the greatest Chef in Burgundy and a true rockstar, is coming to the United States. This six-course dinner will feature collaborated courses and his own creations, served with some of the best Burgundian-driven wine on the West Coast.  The winemakers of Domaine de la Côte, Mount Eden, Littorai, and Lingua Franca will be pouring old vintages along with their full current lineup. Along with these industry legends, we will highlight large format Château du Moulin-à-Vent and Ruinart Champagne to complete this one-night-only event. In traditional Burgundy wine festival fashion, guests and winemakers will also be bringing bottles from their own cellars to share, for a true bacchanal.

The evening will begin at 5pm with a walk-around guided tasting and reception with each winemaker, followed by a meal of Saison caviar, Frederic's famous pâté en croûte and rillettes, uni toast, a course of both Angler and La Ferme de la Ruchotte's signature chicken, Bourgogne cheeses, dessert, and more.  Click the link to secure tickets.

Saturday, December 16th Madson Wines got to host 25 artists for a winter Makers Market. Beloved Chef Amelia Telc of Brutta served up excellent fish sandwiches, hot soup, and great desserts. Austin set the tempo with smooth live music. What a showcase of the creativity, courage, and resilience of makers! We are so grateful to be one of many small businesses working to thrive in this community. Thanks so much to Mika, artist of Wilder Sage for helping put this together. Outstanding in the Field was founded by Jim Denevan in 1999 as an alternative to the conventional dining experience. Rather than source ingredients for a restaurant, we bring our restaurant to the source. The “roving restaurant” without walls is rebuilt every morning and disappears every night. It is a momentary experience and a joyful celebration of human connection. Together we gather at one long table to share the most fundamental and universal human conversation: a meal.
